The Loch Broom Log Church Committee has been very active since it was formed in
2005. Their goal of revitalizing the Log Church and making it once again a vital part
of Pictou County is on-going. To date major repairs have been undertaken to the Church structure. Much work has also been done to the grounds around the Church.
A lot has been accomplished. However, to ensure that this wonderful ‘little jewel’, on the shores of the West River, continues to be available to the people of
Pictou County and to the many visitors - work must continue on site.
The educational value of having such a treasured historical site in Pictou
County cannot be underestimated. Caring for our historical buildings is an
important service to our community. Let us not forget the important role the
original Log Church played in the community of our forefathers and the
significance of the replica to the community today.

completed. The original Log Church was built in 1787.

Note from web site developers - our long awaited chick is hatching and we are
excited about having our own presence on the web to better keep all our viewers
update on what we have been doing, what we plan to do, upcoming events and
activities etc.
As is evident from the blanks buttons above we are just starting and ask your patience and help in developing a site that will
serve to promote our historical log church while expanding on the how, what,
where and when of how it all came about. In this endeavor we welcome your input and understanding as we build our site. We will be adding content as we can and urge you to return from time to time to
check it out.
